THE SHAKAL IZ SOLOVYEV x ZIRCONIA OF SEPP-ALTA mating produced dogs yet more impressive than the Z-litter. The P-litter, born in 1998, consisted of three males and three females.

THE P-LITTER ARE, like the Z-litter, hard workers, but with more ambition and zip. We have no better team dogs than these; strong, fast and enduring, they are excellent performers at point, wheel and team positions. Wherever SHAKAL IZ SOLOVYEV got his genetic endowment (and we'll never really know that for sure), it certainly has turned out to be of extremely high sleddog quality and ability. He's getting old now, retired at 11; "Jackie" has been a once-in-a-lifetime dog.
My feeling is that our two outcrosses have placed the SSSD Project in a fine position for future genetic progress as their contribution is integrated with the excellent base of Markovo Seppala stock at Seppala Kennels. Performance is the proof of these dogs' value, and they certainly have performed!
